Marta Kržič began learning the piano at the Music School Vrhnika in Borovnica and 17 continued studies at the Secondary Music and Ballet School in Ljubljana where she studied the piano with prof. Majda Martinc and musical phrase with prof. Janez Osredkar. She graduated with honors at the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana in the class of prof. Tanja Zrimšek in 1995. She successfully completed postgraduate studies with prof. Aci Bertoncelj in 1999 and furthered with Professors J. Kropfitsch, J. Lateiner, A. Valdma, R. Kinka. She collaborated with pianist Benjamin Govže as a piano duo. She is a member of the Adams’ quintet with whom they recorded a CD and won a few first and second prizes in international competitions in Prague, Trieste and Pula. As a pianist she participated in the edition of five fairy CDs of Janez Bitenc. As a soloist she has worked with The Papirnica Vevče wind orchestra and recorded a CD. Occasionally participates in various chamber ensembles and as an accompanist. As piano teacher she started at the Music School Vrhnika and since 2003 she works at the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana.
