MARKO S. MILENKOVIĆ, MA (1974), graduated at Departrment of General music pedagogy at the Faculty of Arts in Priština in 1998. He finished his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, in the field of harmony The Harmonic content of leitmotifs towards the achievement of dramatic expression of the opera “Twilight” by Stevan Hristić, mentor prof. Mirjana Živković, in 2002. Since 2002, he has worked at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, currently as an Assistant at the subjects Analysis of a musical piece, Harmony with harmonic analysis and Counterpoint. He published the papers in the Proceedings of the Department of theoretical subjects The Music theory andanalysis, the Faculty of Music Arts, Belgrade: The Leitmotifs as a means of expression of a higher rank of the opera “Sunset” by Stevan Hristić, 2006; The Specificity of the harmonic language of the music drama “Twilight” by Stevan Hristić, 2007; He has prepared the papers for the collections in print on the topic:The Symbolism of the interval – the treatment of the excessive second of the opera “Sunset” by Stevan Hristić; The function of the harmonic language in the form construction – Sergei Prokofiev: two string quartets; The Tonal-formal dimension of Chopin,s Preludes op.28; The Two-voice Invention in B-Major of J.S.Bach – the preparation for a fugue or the artistic genre?; The Colouristic-illustrative concept of harmony of Claude Debussy – the piano miniatures ” Little shepherd” of the cycle the Children,s corner, The Principles of the tonal organization in a piano piece ”November” of the cycle The seasons by P. I. Tchaikovsky. At the Faculty of Arts he was engaged as associate (2002-2004), assisstant at subjects Harmony with Harmonic Analysis I, II, III (2004-2014), Analysis of a musical piece I, II, III and IV (2004-2011) and Counterpoint I and II (2011-2014). Since October 2015, he is in title of Professional Instructor at subjects Harmony with Harmonic analysis V, VI and Seminar in Harmony with Harmonic Analysis I and II. He is the secretary of the Department of theoretical subjects of the Faculty of Arts in Niš and a member of the organizing committee of the National forum with international participation Balkan Art Forum.
