Born in Foggia, Andrea Saracino began learning percussion at the age of eleven with professor Antonio Santangello at the Umberto Giordano Conservatory in Foggia. Already as a student, he has collaborated with professors: Marco Malagola, Leonardo Ramadori, Maria Vittorio, Gianni Dardi. He completed his music school in Foggia with the highest grades in the class of professor Antonio Santangello. He has also studied with professor Atos Bovi, in whose class he earned an academic degree in Percussion instruments. He has participated in masterclasses of eminent professors: Rio Ideta, Shee Wu, Mark Ford, Tim Adams, Emil Richards, Sergio Belotti, Eric Samut, Mateo Di Francesco, Jasmine Koldberg, Ney Rosauro, Mike Quinn, Kit Aleo, John Beck. He has been a member of many orchestras: Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky (Izhevsk-Russia), Paul Constantinescu (Romania), Opera di Burgas (Bulgaria), Mihail Jora (Romania), Orchestra Sinfonica di Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Opera di Tirana (Albania), Moody jazz Orchestra, The Orchestra del Conservatorio Umberto Giordano (Foggia-Italy), and many others, including concerts as a soloist. One of his most notable career performances was a concert at the Palau della musica (Barcelona-Spain) where he played the Requiem by Verdi as a tympanist. He has collaborated with the world-class names of pop and jazz music: Antonela Ruggiero, Lucio Dala, Amy Stewart, Eduard Semenoff, Igor Zubinsky, Roberto Corliano, Gianluca Terranova, Nikola Cingarelo, Aldo Cicolini, Bruno Canino. Currently he is a professor of percussion instruments at the school “Liceo Musicale Carolina di Foggia”.
