Saša Arsenkov, MA (1980), a tenor, graduated and obtained his MA degree in Solo singing, in the class of prof. Radmila Bakočević in Sarajevo. During his studies, he has won many awards at the competitions in the country and abroad. Afterwards, he finished the master class course with prof. Oliverа Miljaković in Vienna. He has cooperated with the National Theatre in Sarajevo, becoming its member and getting the roles in the following operas: Un ballo in maschera – G. Verdi, Hasanaginicа – Asim Horozić, The Merry Widow – Franz Lehar, Requiem – W.A.Mozart. In Niš, he has collaborated with the church choir Branko, where as a soloist he performed in Italy, America, Canada, Greece and Russia. As a soloist, he has collaborated with the conductors: S. Kostić, I. Mirović, D. Savić, M. Injac and has performed numerous vocal-instrumental pieces, among which the most distinguished are: Vocal symphony by Dimitrije Bužarovski, The Wedding by I.Stravinski, L.v. Beethoven,s Symphony No. 9 and the premiere performance of the operetta The Bat by J. Strauss, performing the role of Alfredо, as well as the main role of count Almaviva in opera “The Barber of Seville”. Currently, he is working as an Assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš at the Department of Solo singing. Apart from his pedagogical work, he has been actively engaged in concert activities.
